ELECTRIC ELEPHANT FESTIVAL JULY 14TH - JULY 18TH 2011. THE GARDEN, PETRCANE, CROATIA

ELECTRIC ELEPHANT
HIT BOUTIQUE FESTIVAL RETURNS 14-18 JULY 2011
THE GARDEN, PETRCANE, CROATIA
MANCHESTER LAUNCH PARTY, LEGENDS, 21 APRIL 2011
LONDON LAUNCH PARTY, STAR OF KINGS, 28 APRIL 2011

ELECTRIC ELEPHANT

Returning for a fourth bash in 2011, Electric Elephant moves from its late summer slot to mid-July, where it’s been expanded to a five-day, five-night event that blurs the boundaries between festival and holiday. Electric Elephant is the place for sun, sea, boat parties, DJs, live music and club nights on the beautiful Adriatic coast. Full line up here

This year’s festival is longer, better and earlier! Much more than just a festival, it’s a holiday adventure, an escape, a musical getaway, a meeting of like-minded souls that invokes the original spirit of the unspoilt Ibiza of the ‘70s and early ‘80s. Live love dance.

Petrcane itself is a village of good, kind people and evening markets and rustic restaurants serving fresh fish caught that day and olive oil fresh from the local groves. There are plenty of places to rest your head. Old cottages and villas on the sea front are available for hire and there’s even Camping in the woods. Sailing boats can chartered and explore the mystical islands. Stunning national parks, waterfalls and mountains are all a short distance away. The ancient coastal city of Zadar with unique Sea Organ, bustling winding streets and open squares, is only a short bus or taxi ride away.

OUTCAST LOVE 41 > MOODYMANC

Moodymanc has been causing quite a stir amongst the house community of late. Having previously released under the guise of Dubble D, Danny Ward now delivers house bombs as Moodymanc that are being championed by the premier league of DJ’s and music lovers. Previously Danny has worked with a wide range of artists including The Pharcyde, Rae and Christian, Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Soundsystem and renowned jazz musicians like Gilad Atzmon and Jim Mullen.

His take on house music is deeply rooted in tradition having been into born into a life of jazz-drumming, crate diggin' and beat making via the night clubs, warehouses and basements of his soul loving, native Moody Manchester. Recent releases on labels like Tsuba, Third Ear, Dessous, and Connoisseur have meant Moodymanc’s tracks are being played by the likes of DJ’s Luciano and Claude VonStroke as well as being aired on Radio 1 by Derrick May.

Regular guest spots at clubs such as Fabric, Electric Chair and Studio B in Brooklyn serve to reinforce his presence on the international scene. Guesting alongside the likes of Ricardo Vilalobos, Francois K and DJ Sneak which means Moodymanc is up there with the best and his talents continue to blossom at every turn.
